Katie Hammon and her band Bear Grass were gearing up to launch their tour in support of their new full-length album, Stories in Books.

But before they hit the road earlier this month, Bear Grass played a hometown tour kick-off concert at the Ballroom in Troy, sharing the evening with their pals, Tim Koch (of Sgt. Dunbar & the Hobo Banned) and the North & South Dakotas.

Next up for Bear Grass? As part of the CMJ Music Marathon, the band will grab the spotlight at Pete’s Candy Store in Brooklyn at 4pm on Saturday (October 19)…
