Yes, it’s a night of music to die for…

Caffe Lena’s sinful, sinister Halloween tradition continues with the third annual Night of Murder Ballads featuring a variety of old favorite performers and some fresh faces. A batch of murderous Local 518 bands and singer-songwriters will grace Lena’s stage to sing about dead lovers, departed drifters and extinct deer. If it ain’t dead, it ain’t worth singing about at the Caffe on Saturday.

You will, of course, hear some classic traditional murder ballads, but you’ll also hear like-minded tunes from the pens of Phil Ochs, Gillian Welch and Bruce Springsteen, as well as some fine original tunes that will just kill you. Hopefully not literally…
