The Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs has announced the launch of a new summer residency at SPAC in the 2014 season. The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center will take over the traditional three-week, six-concert Saratoga Chamber Music Festival – which will now be titled the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center at SPAC – beginning on August 11 and continuing through August 26.

Representing a major new investment in SPAC’s classical programming, the new resident chamber music ensemble will perform in SPAC’s Spa Little Theater. The Chamber Music Society’s artistic directors – the husband-and-wife team of cellist David Finckel and pianist Wu Han – have been longtime performers in the Capital Region, often as part of Union College International Festival of Chamber Music.

SPAC’s 2014 summer season will also feature programs by such other resident companies as the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra, as well as the legendary Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival and Live Nation’s rock and pop concert series.
