MUSIC: Ryder & Hazel with the Dust Bowl Faeries @ Branch Gallery, North Adams. The avant garde dark-folk trio of C. Ryder Cooley, Karen Cole & Sara Ayers headline the special All Hallows Eve multi-media event and carnivalesque sonic séance featuring music, projections, costume contests, taxidermy, a photo booth, face-painting. MUSIC: The Blakk Balloon Ball @ Basilica Hudson, Hudson. Noh-wave rock opera pioneers Yamantaka/Sonic Titan hit Hudson with their melding of classical Japanese drama and nihilistic NYC art-punk. With the bold Jenny Hval and Tanz Praxis. 8pm. $15; $10 students.

MUSIC: Invasion of the Mutant Rockers @ Valentine’s Music Hall, Albany. Two stages, six bands, one price, featuring Eastbound Jesus, the Lucky Jukebox Brigade, the Blind Owl Band, Stellar Young, Black Mountain Symphony and Olivia Quillio. 8pm. $12.

MUSIC: Tony Lucca @ the Van Dyck, Schenectady. From “The Mickey Mouse Club” to “The Voice,” the singer-songwriter has had a long career, and now he’s back in the spotlight with his latest release, With the Whole World Watching. He was at SPAC with Maroon 5 and Kelly Clarkson just a month ago, but this will be a considerably more intimate show. 8pm. $20.

One screening only of the provocative, surrealist, nightmarish black-and-white debut by director Randy Moore, who shot the film guerilla-style in Disney World.
