Happy Funsgiving!

The B3nson Collective will hold its sixth and final B3nson Family Funsgiving celebration at the New Scotland Avenue location of Valentine’s Music Hall on Friday night (November 22).

More than 60 records have been released under the B3nson Recording Company name since its inception, and folks who attend this year’s Funsgiving celebration will be able to snag the record label’s two newest releases: the eleventh installment of Sgt Dunbar & the Hobo Banned’s year-long monthly EP odyssey, and a brand new A B3nson Family Funsgiving 2013 compilation featuring familiar names as well as new friends. Both CDs will be FREE with $10 admission at the door.

Friday’s festivities kick off at 7pm, taking over both floors of Valentine’s. In addition to the Hobo Banned, the line-up of performers includes long-time Funsgiving veterans the Parlor and Barons in the Attic. B3nson’s newest projects – Rival Galaxies, Bear Grass and Hammer Hawk – will also be adding to the night’s festivities, and a very special set from Scientific Maps set will round out the evening.

The annual tradition of illustrious facial hair, beard contests and prizes, coupled with endless musical camaraderie, will all add to what is sure to be one last fabulously festive Funsgiving on New Scotland Avenue.
