New Release Rack: Sirsy’s “Goner and Other Sordid Delights”
Pop duo Sirsy celebrated the release of their breakthrough album Coming Into Frame earlier this year, and the dynamic duo of Melanie Krahmer and Rich Libutti aren’t wasting any time in following it up. Funzalo Records is releasing a new Sirsy EP, Goner and Other Sordid Delights, on Tuesday (December 3).
The disc features “Goner,” a brand new, previously unreleased studio recording, as well as a batch of live recordings culled from the duo’s coast-to-coast tours. “Crazy” and “Cannonball” were recorded in Seattle; “Gold” was recorded in Tucson; and the closing three selections – “Lionheart,” “Lots of Love” and “Killer” were recorded right here in the Local 518 as live acoustic tunes at Mike Guzzo’s CRUMBS Cafe Studio.

Sirsy returns to the Nippertown spotlight at 7pm on Thursday (December 5), when they celebrate the release of “Goner…” with a bash at Flo’s Lark Tavern in Albany. Admission is $5.
