Where to See the Grammy Nominees

In case you missed it, the Grammy nominations were announced on Friday night (December 6) and among the nominees were the Albany Symphony Orchestra and veteran folk music master Peter Seeger (Read story here.)

While the ASO played their annual holiday concerts at Albany’s Palace Theatre on Saturday and Sunday (December 7 & 8), another Grammy nominee Tierney Sutton was onstage singing with the Turtle Island Quartet at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall when it was announced that her album After Blue had earned a nomination as Best Jazz Vocal Album.

But a number of other Grammy nominees are scheduled to grace Nippertown stages in the upcoming weeks and months. Here’s where to find the nominees in the Local 518 spotlight:

    Terrance Simien, Grammy award winner several years ago, was nominated for another Grammy this week end for Dockside Sessions. Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience have played at Abram Lansing Elementary School in Cohoes for several years, and are in the planning stages to return this March.
