LIVE: The Temptations @ The Egg, 12/7/13

Review and photographs by Andrzej Pilarczyk
Almost 700 fans packed into the Hart Theatre at The Egg on Saturday to hear the Temptations, and they had the time of their lives.
Yes, the original Temptations had five members, but the four who took the stage on Saturday night – led by original member Otis Williams – didn’t need a fifth. They had it all in the bag with only four, and we’re talking about a funky and rocking four.
“Cloud Nine” was heavenly. “I Wish It Would Rain” was a trip to Nirvana. And “(I Know) I’m Losing You” was to die for. It was all led by Williams, the man in charge, “The Man” who made it happen all those many years ago. He is, after all, the founder of the Temps, as they’ve affectionately been known around the world from the late ’60s into the 21st century. Without him, it would be a novelty act. But with him in the ranks, it was pure excellence.
If you’re reading this, you’re interested. If you were there, you are wildly interested. If you hung out after the show to get an autograph, you are a rabid fan. I’m in that category. I am a Temptations fanatic.

Andrzej, great pics.
Saw Themps twice, one with SEVEN members, in the Standing On the Top era at the Colonie Coloseum(?) and a couple years later at Heritage Park with the Four Tops.
