Jazz singer-guitarist John Pizzarelli is quite at home with jazz standards, but on his latest album, Double Exposure, he digs into the songbags of Billy Joel, Joni Mitchell, Steely Dan, James Taylor and more, proving that he also knows his way around a good pop song.
Pizzarelli rolled into The Egg in Albany on the final weekend of 2013, wrapping up the year with a quartet concert, featuring his brother Martin Pizzarelli on bass, Konrad Paszkudzki on piano and Kevin Kanner on drums.
