MUSIC: Nat Baldwin & Otto Hauser @ the Spotty Dog, Hudson. Hudson-based percussionist Otto Hauser joins the Dirty Projectors’ bassist Baldwin in support of Baldwin’s new album Dome Branches. 8pm. $7.

MUSIC: The Chronicles @ Red Square, Albany. The groove-a-licious, horn-fueled, jazz ‘n’ funk combo kicks off their month-long Thursday residency at the Square. With the West End Blend. 9pm. $10.

MUSIC: I/O Festival @ Williams College’s ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance, Williamstown. The I/O Ensemble performs “Coming Together,” Frederic Rzewski’s classic work for voice and amplified ensemble, as well as David Lang’s quiet and haunting Pulitzer Prize winner “the little match girl passion.” 7pm. MUSIC: I/O Festival @ Williams College’s ’62 Center for Theatre and Dance, Williamstown. Featuring a new arrangement of Samuel Beckett’s seminal 1961 radio play ”Words and Music,” with music by Morton Feldman. Also, featuring a premiere of collaborative work by poet and Williams professor Lawrence Raab and musician/students Brian & Stephen Simalchik. 9:30pm. FREE.

MUSIC: “Ride Into the Sun: A Local Tribute to Lou Reed” @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. Featuring Fancy Trash, the Fawns, Goldwater the Second, the Lonesome Brothers, Lo Fine, Mark Mulcahy, Rocky Roberts & Friends, Rusty Belle, School for the Dead, Violet Clark and Winterpills. 7pm. $13.

MUSIC: Murali Coryell @ the Falcon, Marlboro. Yes, he’s the son of guitar great Larry Coryell, but he’s a triple threat contemporary blues artist in his own right – singing, writing and playing guitar with the best. 7pm. Donations appreciated.
