MASS MoCA to Ring in New Year with Free Day, January 11 [Berkshire on Stage]

One of the popular New Year’s resolutions for those of us who live in the Berkshires is to get out and enjoy more of the attractions all those summer visitors come hundreds, even thousands of miles to see. They find the time and motivation, and so should we. We live in an amazing part of the world.
MASS MoCA in North Adams wants to see you and your family and is planning a special day to make it both affordable and interesting for your gang. So just as cabin fever begins to set in, on Saturday (January 11) they will host another free day to entice us to see what’s new and different since last year. And the answer is – a lot.
Among the activities – all of which relate to the exhibitions on view – are printmaking demonstrations, take-home book alterations, and a Jason Middlebrook-inspired, collaborative wood sculpture. Enjoy free admission and brick-wall-to-brick-wall programming throughout the museum. Art-making, dance performances, roaming musicians, and gallery tours are available throughout the day. Elevator music (played live) and Lickety Split’s signature carrot cake are not to be missed!
