Mountain Jam Announces Additional Headliner

Guitarslinger Warren Haynes’ annual Mountain Jam at Hunter Mountain already had a pretty heavyweight line-up on tap for its tenth annual festival bash this summer, but things just heated up even further with the announcement that the Allman Brothers Band have been added to the schedule as headliners.

Back in January, the stellar guitar tandem of Haynes and Derek Trucks both announced that they would be leaving the Allman Brothers Band at the end of the year, and Gregg Allman subsequently announced that the band will stop touring after 2014, so this may well be ABB’s farewell Nippertown concert appearance.

At the festival – named after one of ABB’s most iconic songs – the band is expected to perform a set that includes their first two albums (The Allman Brothers Band and Idlewild South) in their entirety.

Mountain Jam will take place at Hunter Mountain in Hunter from Thursday-Sunday, June 5-8. Tickets are on sale now.
