The Egg Announces Three New Concerts

And the concerts just keep on comin’ at The Egg. Albany’s iconic orb-shaped performing arts center already has a gang-busters schedule of upcoming shows. And now with the addition of three more new concerts to the American Roots & Branches concert series, it’s getting even better.

Tickets for the three new shows are currently on sale to members and will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Tuesday.

Here’s the rundown of the newly announced concerts:

AL KOOPER’S 70th BIRTHDAY BASH

He spearheaded such ground-breaking bands as the Blues Project and Blood, Sweat & Tears, in addition to a stellar solo recording career. He’s also been an a-list studio musician who’s trademark organ riffs can be heard on classic recordings by Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and countless others celebrates his 70th birthday at The Egg with his group the Funky Faculty, guitar virtuoso Jimmy Vivino and some very special guests.
