READING: Robert H. Patton @ UAlbany Campus Center’s Assembly Hall, Albany. The novelist, historian and grandson of legendary World War II General George S. Patton will read from his new book “Hell Before Breakfast,” a history of American war journalism between 1860-1910, from the Civil War and Spanish American War to conflicts in Europe and Asia. 8pm. FILM: “Divine Discontent: The Life of Charles Proteus Steinmetz” @ Proctors, Schenectady. This new, hour-long documentary tells the tale of “the Wizard of Schenectady,” who, through his achievements in mathematics, science and engineering, made critical contributions to the electrification of the world. 7pm.
