Since her breakthrough recording Car Wheels on a Gravel Road, the Louisiana-bred singer-songwriter’s contemporary rock/country sound has won universal acclaim and multiple Grammy Awards, and she continues to be a creative force, utilizing her natural affinity for roots music and familial literary tradition. FILM: “Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould” @ PS21, Chatham. The 1993 award-winning documentary about the Canadian piano prodigy, portrayed by Colm Feore. The director François Girard wrote, “the film is built of fragments, each one capturing an image of Gould.” The soundtrack consists almost entirely of piano recordings by Gould. 6:30pm. FREE.
