Real Good for FREE: Cohoes’ Canal Square Concert Series

The annual Canal Square Concert Series is returning to Cohoes’ Canal Square for its 20th season, and while there are only five concerts, the line-up of performers is one of the strongest around town.

The free concert series begins on Friday (July 18) with the jazz ‘n’ funk of the Chronicles and continues through August 15. All concerts take place at 6pm on Fridays, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. The rain site for the concerts is the Cohoes Senior Center at Cayuga Plaza.

The Friday, July 25 concert will also feature the dedication of the Canal Square Wall of Fame, honoring those musicians who have made a lasting impact on the entertainment scene. This year, the Rogues – a popular rock group in the 1960s and ’70s – will be honored.
