ATTENTION: Music Collectors…

And they work as coasters, too.
And they work as coasters, too.

Does your home suffer from sagging shelves? Vinyl albums, CDs, DVDs spilling out onto the floor, scattered hither and yon across your humble abode?

Don’t trust the cloud? Do you need to actually hold the album cover in your hand while you listen to the Japanese pressing of the Morells’ classic Shake & Push?

Well, bunky, we know just what you need to feed your habit – more cool stuff.

And what’s more, if you’re still looking for the Peter Criss action figure, the laser disc of Francis Ford Coppola’s “Rumblefish” or that rare live Jackie Leven album, well, we know where to look…

As a fundraiser, the non-profit community radio station WGXC-FM is hosting its inaugural Record & Media Fair on Saturday (October 11) at the Second Ward Foundation in Hudson with more than 40 tables of dealers with vinyl, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, VHS, wax cylinders, whatever… The fair runs from 10am-4pm, and admission is $3. Or if you’re seriously jonesin’, early bird admission begins at 8am for $10.

And if you don’t find what you need there…

Felix Iavarone’s Rock n Roll Expo is coming up at the Albany Marriott in Colonie on Sunday, October 19, promising a wide array of records, CDs, comics, DVDs, video games and other pop culture collectibles. Local authors John Gabriel and Don Rittner will be on hand to sell and sign copies of their books. And in addition, Tom Raider of Hey Jude…The Tribute will serve as the emcee, hosting live rockin’ performances by the Last Conspirators and Kyle Ripp Rock. The expo runs from 10am-5pm, and admission is $5.

Happy hunting…
