The Egg Announces Two More New Concerts

The Egg is Albany has added a pair of new shows to its February concert calendar.

Tickets for the new concerts are currently available to members of The Egg and will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (November 21).

Here’s the info for the new concerts:

Saturday, February 7, 8pm
As a founding member of Uncle Tupelo and Son Volt, singer-songwriter Jay Farrar helped popularize the alt-country movement of the 1990s. His unique voice has also been heard as a member of New Multitudes – a Woody Guthrie tribute collective, as well as recordings under his own name. At The Egg, Farrar will perform a solo, acoustic career retrospective concert.

With the London Souls
Thursday, February 19, 7:30pm
JJ Grey & Mofro blend of front-porch soul, funk, R&B, blues, southern rock and down-home storytelling has made them a popular fixture on the American roots music scene for the past decade. NYC-based band the London Souls – who draw inspiration from British bands such as Cream, the Beatles and the Hollies – will open the concert.
