MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Jim Brickman @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. The romantic pop pianist and his featured guests celebrate the sounds of the season with “On a Winter’s Night,” a benefit performance for the Capital Region Coalition to End Homelessness. 7:30pm. $29, $36 & $44.

MUSIC: GWAR @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. The perfect antidote if you’re ODing on the fa-la-la-la-la and sugar plum fairies of the season. Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved book comes to life in the Tony Award-winning musical about an orphan girl who transforms a dead and wasted garden into a paradise where hearts can grow and miracles can happen.
