LIVE: The Emerald Rae Trio @ Crandall Public Library, 4/23/15

Photographs by Andrzej Pilarczyk
Fab fiddler Emerald Rae is totally adept not only in Cape Breton and Scottish fiddle traditions, but in Irish and old-timey as well. The Gloucester-based musician and her bandmates – the multi-talented Eden Forman and the fiery, redheaded Somer O’Brien – showcased all of these styles and often melded them together as they performed in concert at the Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls in support of Rae’s latest album, If Only I Could Fly.
The Crandall’s Live! Folklife Concert Series continues at 7pm on Thursday (May 7) with the Celtic folk duo of Irish harper Maire Ni Chathasaigh and acoustic guitatist Chris Newman. Admission is free.
