THEATER: “Home Fires Burning” @ Bridge Street Theatre, Catskill. Last chance! Two short haunting plays – “Everlasting Moon” and “Paradise Whiskey” – written and performed by Roxanne Fay about the fierce fight to reclaim and hold on to that most elemental human need – a place of one’s own. 2pm. $15; $10 students & seniors.

MUSIC: Ronnie Radke‘s Three Ring Circus @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. With lead vocalist Ronnie Radke at the microphone, Falling in Reverse will play two sets – the first set features Falling in Reverse playing Radke’s former band Escape the Fate‘s Dying Is Your Latest Fashion album in its entirety, while the second set is a traditional Falling in Reverse set. Ghost Town opens the show. 7:30pm. $25.

MUSIC: Bob Dylan’s Birthday Celebration @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. A benefit concert for the Family of Woodstock’s Crisis Hotline and the John Herald Fund featuring Happy Traum, Cindy Cashdollar, Pal Shazar, Jerry Marotta, the Stacks, Sarah Fimm, Marc Black, John Ashton, Lindsey Webster, Eric Redd, Tim Moore, Zach Djanikian, Robert Burke Warren, Kyle Esposito, Sin City, the Saturday Night Bluegrass Band, Nick Spinetti and the Paul Green Rock Academy. 8pm. $25, $45, $65 & $100.

FILM/MUSIC: “The Gold Rush” @ the Madison Theater, Albany. Charlie Chaplin’s classic silent movie accompanied by a new original score performed live by the Andrew Alden Ensemble, featuring violinist Ben Kronk, cellists Nathaniel Ortega and Philip Lee in addition to drummer-keyboardist Andrew Alden. 8pm. $10.

Poets, songwriters, storytellers and speech-makers share of views about our soldiers, the culture of war and conflicts past and present with featured musician Dan Berggren performing “Appleseeds,” a 30-minute piece called Appleseeds, featuring the songs and ideas of Pete Seeger. 7pm. THEATER: “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” @ Curtain Call Theatre, Latham. Christopher Durang’s smash-hit Broadway comedy and winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play is a wacky nod to Chekhov. THEATER: “Butler” @ Barrington Stage Co.’s St. Germain Stage, Pittsfield. It’s the New England premiere of the uproariously funny, witty and very moving play based on actual events that changed the lives of over 10,000 slaves during the Civil War. 3pm. Through Saturday, June 13.

THEATER: “The Diary of Anne Frank” @ Saratoga Arts, Saratoga Springs. Produced by the Local Actor’s Guild. 2. $20.

THEATER ON FILM: “Antony and Cleopatra” @ Spectrum 8, Albany. Gary Griffin directs the steamy story of a midlife affair that shook the foundations of the ancient world. The Stratford Festival production of the Shakespeare play Cleopatra stars Geraint Wyn Davies and Yanna McIntosh as the powerful rulers whose insatiable love leads to the greatest of tragedies. 12noon.
