WAMC-FM’s The Linda has added a big ole line-up of fab singer-songwriters to its concert calendar, beginning with Texas honky-tonker Dale Watson in support of his brand-spankin’ new album Call Me Insane at 8pm on Monday, July 13 ($17). Other new additions include Bob Schneider at 8pm on Friday, August 21 ($20); Peter Case with Michael Eck at 8pm on Saturday, September 12 ($18); Antje Duvekot with Chuck Cannon at 8pm on Friday, September 18 ($18); Charlie Mars at 8pm on Friday, September 25 ($18); and Bobby Long at 8pm on Saturday, September 26 ($17).
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Two excellent female vocalists – Kat Edmonson and Karla Bonoff – will soon grace the stage of The Egg’s Swyer Theatre. Tickets are currently on sale for both shows.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In a late addition to the schedule, R&B star Chris Brown is headed to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. He’ll be joined by Kid Ink, Omarion, Fetty Wap and Teyana Taylor. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Saturday (June 13).
Universal Preservation Hall will be jazzin’ up Saratoga Springs with their new concert announcements, led by Renaissance man/musical maverick David Amram teaming up with the 12-piece Dylan Perrillo Orchestra at 7:30pm on Friday, July 17 ($25 in advance; $30 at the door). Other new concerts slated for the Spa City hall include Giacomo Smith and his five-piece New Orleans jazz ‘n’ swing band at 7:30pm on Saturday, August 22 ($20 in advance; $25 at the door); and the Dan Brubeck Quartet celebrating the release of their 2-CD set, Live from the Cellar: Celebrating the Music and Lyrics of Dave and Iola Brubeck at 7:30pm on Saturday, September 19 ($25 in advance; $30 at the door). Tickets for all three concerts are now on sale.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Legendary Canadian folkie Gordon Lightfoot is slated to return to the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (June 12).
The Parish Public House hosts Papa Mali – New Orleans-based singer-songwriter-guitarist and frontman for 7 Walkers – at 9pm on Thursday, June 25. Also on tap is visionary musical wildman That 1 Guy at 9pm on Friday, October 1. Tickets are $15 for each show.
CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: There’s been a line-up change for the Friday, June 26 schedule of Solid Sound at MASS MoCA in North Adams. Taj Mahal has cancelled due to health issues. Speedy Ortiz has been snagged to fill the vacant slot.
Down in Woodstock at the Bearsville Theater, the Mike + Ruthy Band celebrate the release of their new CD Bright As You Can at 9pm on Saturday, June 27 with special guests Tracy Bonham, Happy Traum and Adrien Reju. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $15 in advance; $20 at the door. And jam-band guitarslinger Steve Kimock and his band – Bobby Vega, Jay Lane, Jeff Chimenti and Dan Lebowitz – serve up an evening of Dead & Jerry at 8pm on Friday, August 7. Tickets on sale at 12noon on Friday (June 12).
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Albany’s Palace Theatre added three new shows this week – comedian Mike Epps with Bruce Bruce (on sale at 10am Thursday); the Festival of Praise featuring gospel stars Fred Hammond, Donnie McClurkin, Kim Burrell and Israel Houghton with Isaac Carree, Jessica Reedy and Zacardi Cortez (on sale at 10am on Friday, June 19); and a live stage play “Tyler Perry’s Madea On the Run,” starring Tyler Perry himself (on sale at 10am Monday, June 22).
He played the FLY92 SummerJam last weekend at SPAC, and now Jake Miller is headed back to Nippertown to headline the Dazed and Confused Tour at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park. The show takes place at 7pm on Sunday, July 12 with Jasmine V and Alex Angelo in the support slots. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (June 12) – $20 in advance; $22 at the door. Also new on UCH’s calendar is the Devil Wears Prada at 7:30pm on Thursday, July 16. Whitechapel, Assault on the Living and Declension round out the bill. Julian Casablancas + the Voidz – the acclaimed collaboration between Nicholas Goossen, Warren Fu and the Strokes frontman – have announced that they’ll be bringing their Immaculate Powerlords Tour to Pearl Street in Northampton on Tuesday, October 13. Craft Spells open the show. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door.
SOLD OUT: The single-day tickets for Saturday, June 27 at Solid Sound at MASS MoCA in North Adams are now officially sold out.
