MUSIC/READING: “And So It Goes: the Characters and Chronicles of Kurt Vonnegut” @ the Albany Public Library, Albany. The Reading Music series welcomes Local 518 singer-songwriter Gail Sparlin. Part book discussion and part music performance, the event will be a unique opportunity to delve deeper into Vonnegut’s writing, while learning about the songwriting process from one of Albany’s finest singer-songwriters. 7pm. COMEDY/FILM: “Be a Man” @ Proctors’ GE Theatre, Schenectady. In this new comedic documentary, comedian Ray Harrington – raised by three women and facing the birth of his first child – realizes he has no idea what it takes to be a man, particularly in today’s confused — and confusing — fast-paced society. Along the way, Harrington sits with fellow comedians to discuss his wayward progress and what it takes, in their eyes, to be a man.
