MUSIC: Hamell On Trial @ the Low Beat, Albany. He’s back for the second assault of his three Wednesday night happy hour residency. Reports from last week found him in stellar form, cranking out at least a half dozen new songs, as well as some old, rarely heard nuggets during his marathon two-hour show. 6pm.

MUSIC: Lucius @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Led by the mirror-image vocalists-keyboardists Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, the compelling Brooklyn-based alt-pop band rides into town in support of their latest album, Wildewoman. 8pm. $20.
