Win FREE Tickets to Yo La Tengo @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall
With Ira Kaplan on acoustic guitar, Georgia Hubley on a small, up-front drum kit, James McNew on upright bass and the prodigal Dave Schramm returning to the line-up on electric guitar, this is Yo La Tengo like you’ve never seen them before.
The oh-so-influential Hoboken indie rockers have been together for more than 30 years. They’ve recorded more than a dozen critically acclaimed albums, including the brand new Stuff Like That There, which finds their dizzyingly eclectic musical taste stretching from Hank Williams to Sun Ra to the Cure. And they’re headed into the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall at 8pm on Wednesday (September 23) to kick off their upcoming world tour.
Tickets are still available, priced at $27 & $34.
Congratulations to the winner, who has been notified by email.

Georgia and Ira did a signing at Tracks Records in Bloomington, IN about 25 years ago. They were both very patient and gracious with their fans. Afterwards, the store manager asked them to sign the remaining unsold 45s. Ira muttered under his breath to Georgia “What is this, a fucking baseball card show?” Made me love them even more!
I’ve lived in Bloomington, IN, a music town! I’d love to hear their Bloomington recollections …and their music! Sounds like they are a tight act, not to miss!
What a fun night this would be!
Say Si! to the best show of the Fall!!
The music Hall is probably the best venue in the region, it would be great to see ylt here!
