FEST: Speed of Sound Festival on Saturday

In celebration of Radio Woodstock’s 35th anniversary, the station is presenting the inaugural Speed of Sound Festival at the Dutchess County Airport in Wappingers Falls on Saturday. Kicking off at 12noon, the eight-band fest is headlined by the Avett Brothers, who will play a full two-hour set in the final northeast performance of 2015.

Advance tickets are $65 ($185 for VIP). Tickets at the gate will be $75 ($200 for VIP). College students with valid ID can purchase two tickets at the gate for the price of one.

And if you don’t feel like driving, round-trip tickets are available on the Rally Bus, which departs from Latham and Albany on Saturday morning.
