There certainly wasn’t much off-campus promotion for the Saratoga Springs debut of the captivating alt-pop band Lucius, but if you missed it, well, all I can say is that you just gotta stay tuned to Nippertown.com.
Just two days after a knock-out show at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, the Brooklyn-based indie popsters slipped quietly onto the Skidmore College campus for a free concert to help kick-off the new school semester.
Sporting infectious pop hooks, dance-inducing percussion and the vocal harmonies of mirror-image co-founding vocalists-keyboardists Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, Lucius lived up to their award as the break-out band of the 2013 Solid Sound Festival. (Yes, that award came from your friends here at Nippertown.com, and we stand by it.)
Opening the show at Skidmore’s Tang Museum was were the fellow Brooklynites Pavo Pavo.
