LIVE: Jaimeo Brown’s Transcendence @ The Falcon, 9/24/15

The Falcon in Marlboro was jolted last month by the deeply spiritual performance of drummer Jaimeo Brown’s trio Transcendence. The concert consisted of selections from the band’s 2013 debut album Transcendence (based upon the songs of the quilters of Gee Bend) and the forthcoming Worksongs album which is based upon work songs from around the world.

The guitar and electronic effects from Chris Sholar provided the bed for the wild improvisations of Brown and saxophonist Jaleel Shaw, in front of a small but appreciative audience.
