The Atlantic hailed him as “one of the funniest men alive.” The Wall Street Journal declared that “he is at the vanguard of a new class of entertainers.” And New York magazine simply called him “brilliant.”
Now comedian, writer, musician and man-about-town Dave Hill steps into the spotlight at Proctors’ Education Center in Schenectady, headlining the 8pm Saturday (February 20) installment of Pretty Much the Best Comedy Show.
His television appearance include performances on Comedy Central, HBO, Adult Swim, Cinemax, MTV, BBC-America, VH1, Sundance Channel, TLC, Current TV, Spike TV, Fuse TV and the MOJO network. He has written for The New York Times, GQ, Salon, VICE, McSweeney’s, Huffington Post, The New York Daily News, Guitar World and Guitar Player. He’s published two books, “Tasteful Nudes” and “Dave Hill Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”
He’s also a contributor to the popular public radio program “This American Life,” and he hosts “The Goddamn Dave Hill Show” on NYC’s WFMU-FM. He released his debut comedy album, Let Me Turn You On last year, and his band Valley Lodge performs the theme song for HBO’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.”
