FREE: Fridays at the Lake Concert Series in Lake George

With the coming of last weekend’s seriously springtime weather, a Greater Nippertown music fan’s fancy turns to… free outdoor concerts.

And first out of the gate this year is the Fridays at the Lake: Band and Brews Concert Series at Shepard Park in Lake George. The weekly lakeside concert series kicks off its seventh season on June 24, and will feature a diverse array of nine concerts through September 2.

Each concert kick off with an opening act at 4pm, followed by the headliner at 6pm. A variety of different local restaurants will participate on a rotating basis, offering food and beverages. Admission is free, and the concerts are family and dog friendly. In addition, there will be a bounce house, face-painting and other children’s activities.

June 24: The Georgie Wonders Orchestra with Red Shift

July 1: The New York Players with Rich Ortiz

July 8: The Audiostars with the Jonathan Newell Band

July 22: The Refrigerators with AfterFab

July 29: Emerald City with Tumbling Dice

August 5: Grand Central Station with Meet the Mockers

August 12: Spiritual Rez with Rich Ortiz

August 26: The Funky Dawgz Brass Band with the Jonathan Newell Band

September 2: Skeeter Creek (country) with Red Shift
