Phantogram Takes On Another Collaboration

Local 518 favorites Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter made their mark on the national music scene as Phantogram. Then they teamed up with Big Boi of OutKast to form Big Grams, releasing their self-titled debut last year.

Now Barthel and Carter collaborating with Canadian DJ-turntablist-record producer A-Trak as featured special guests on A-Trak’s new single, “Parallel Lines.”

“My favorite thing about electronic music in 2016 is that it doesn’t fit into any confines,” A-Trak explains. “It doesn’t need a four-on-the-floor beat or a supersaw synth. I made a song with an alternative band, scratched the guitar and made it something you can dance to. That’s the freedom we have as DJs.”
