April was Jazz Appreciation Month, and the Albany Musicians Association celebrated with their annual Jazz Appreciation Month Concert at the Colonie Elks Lodge in Latham. The free, day-long jazz fest was chockful of fabulous music by such Local 518 faves as the Gals Who Play Jazz, the Scott Bassinson Quartet, the Phil Allen/Michael Benedict Concert Jazz Band and headliners the Mike LeDonne Groover Quartet.
