Fear of Strangers Reunion Rescheduled

OK, let’s try this again…

Just days before they were scheduled to play a rare reunion concert last month, Fear of Strangers – one of Greater Nippertown’s most popular bands in the early ’80s – the show was derailed when lead vocalist Val Haynes suffered an injury.

The show was postponed until she could recover, and now finally a new date has been set for the concert. Haynes and her old bandmates – guitarist Todd Nelson, bassist Steve Cohen and drummer Al Kash – along with special guest keyboardist Mike Kelley – will step back into the spotlight at the Hollow Bar + Kitchen in Albany at 9pm on Friday, September 23. The show will feature FoS playing two sets, no opening act. Tickets are now on sale, priced at $15.

The show will be the band’s first performance since the J.B. Scott’s Reunion at Michael’s Banquet House back in May, 2012.
