Proctors in Schenectady is unquestionably Greater Nippertown’s premier year-round center for musical theater. Unfortunately, their reputation on the pop music front falls well short of the mark.

Last month, the theater hosted the 40th anniversary tour of ’70s Australian hitmakers the Little River Band – without a single original member from the band’s glory days. Not one.

And it’s not the first time that’s happened…

Back in late April, Proctors played host to a concert by classic rockers Foreigner. And again, the band’s line-up featured no original members.
