LIVE: The Honey Dewdrops / The Sea, The Sea @ Caffe Lena at the Grove, 8/6/16

It was an evening of extraordinary harmony singing last month when a pair of exquisite duos teamed up at Caffe Lena’s summertime home-away-from home, the Grove in Saratoga Springs.

The Virginia-based husband-and-wife roots duo of Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish call themselves the Honey Dewdrops, and indeed their sound was superb. Honeyed, heartfelt, handcrafted songs…

Meanwhile, the terrific twosome of Chuck Costa and Mira Stanley are The Sea, The Sea. The pair of perfectly matched voices created sonic landscapes with the dreamy wash of watercolors and the bold brushstrokes of oil paintings.
