FREE FEST: Quiet Village in New Paltz on Saturday
No noise…
No beats…
No visuals…
Just pure ambience…
The Hudson Valley’s free “anti-festival” of ambient music, Quiet Village promotes serious ambient electronic music composers and sound artists, presenting environmental music in an outdoor setting that bypasses the traditional concert format and gallery installation paradigm.
The nine-hour Quite Village takes place at Hasbrouck Park in New Paltz beginning at 10:30am on Saturday (September 17). Admission is free.
The ambient music fest is ideal for active listening, passive listening, or a sonic field to simply pass through… read, think, talk, play, daydream, listen…
