FEST: Mountain Jam Changes Dates

Planning for next summer’s concert season yet? If so, you might want to pay attention to the notice recently posted on Mountain Jam’s website:

Since its inception in 2005, Mountain Jam has been held at the end of May/early June. However for 2017, we have decided to move the date to June 16-18, 2017 in an effort to prevent weather cancellations or delays and increase our chances of sunny days and clear mountain nights.
Michael Franti often says that you get to experience ALL four seasons at Mountain Jam, however after 12 Mountain Jam festivals we decided it was finally time to push the date ahead, focusing on two ideal seasons Spring and Summer!

This sparked a mountain of comments on their website. In a nutshell: Father’s Day weekend, other competing festivals (we know what that’s like around here) and the impossibility of predicting the weather that far in advance.
