Win FREE TICKETS to Frank Lacy & 1032K at the Sanctuary for Independent Media on Saturday

1032K is the Planck temperature, the temperature at which matter ceases to exist, and conventional physics breaks down. According to Nova, at this point, “strange things, unknown things, begin to happen to phenomena we hold near and dear, like space and time.”

That’s also an apt description for what happens when you mix the cerebral flamboyance of Frank Lacy’s trombone with Andrew Drury’s kaleidoscopic percussion and the big, broad bass sound of Kevin Ray.

With their debut album, That Which Is Planted on Oliver Lake’s Passin’ Thru label, the trio showcases their adventurous, inventive interpretations of works by Charles Mingus, Henry Threadgill, Albert Ayler, Joe Ford and Steve McCall.

Frank Lacy & 1032K are bringing their fierce, fearless music to the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy at 7:30pm on Saturday (October 8). Tickets are on sale now, priced at $15.
