FEST: O+ Festival in Kingston, 10/7-9/16

Featuring more than 60 musical acts and 30 visual artists, the seventh annual O+ Festival will be taking place this weekend at a number of different locations throughout Kingston. It’s a unique festival of art, music and wellness, wherein artists barter their contributions directly for medical, dental and other health services from art-loving health care providers.

Saturday headlining acts include singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sondre Lerche at the Old Dutch Church and guitarist-composer Kaki King (with her visually stunning “The Neck is a Bridge to the Body” show) in the back room of BSP Lounge.

Among the other featured performers are the gothic folk ensemble Dust Bowl Faeries led by Ryder Cooley, indie pop sister duo Chaos Chaos, Americana-meets-punk duo Megan Jean & the Klay Family Band, singer-songwriter Jesse Marchant, experimental pop band Pavo Pavo and “slow pop” sextet Loch Lomond.

The three-day festival also includes a kick-off parade, numerous concerts, art-making, Literary SALO+N and CO+LLAGE Cafe, cycling events, kids programming, Wellness EXPO+ and
conference, and classes in yoga, meditation, dance, sound healing and more.

Admission to the festival is available on a pay-what-you-can basis. VIP tickets are also available with a variety of bonus perks at the $50, $75 & $100 levels. GO HERE for advance tickets…
