LIVE: Joan Osborne @ The Egg, 12/10/16

The last time that super soul singer Joan Osborne stepped into the Greater Nippertown spotlight, she was sharing Proctors’ stage with the great Mavis Staples.

In concert at The Egg last month, however, Osborne took a different tact, playing a considerably more intimate, semi-acoustic show accompanied by guitarists Andrew Carillo and Jack Petruzzelli.

The results were the same, though, as Osborne threw herself into her songs – some drawn from her most recent album, Love and Hate, others culled from her considerable catalog that stretches back to the days before she racked up big-time success with “One of Us” back in 1995.
