SPAC Announces New Concert

Another blast of classic rock…

Live Nation is bringing Foreigner to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center to headline a flashback triple-bill at 7pm on Tuesday, July 18.

Foreigner – who played at Proctors in Schenectady last April with a line-up that featured no original members – is celebrating their 40th anniversary.

Rounding out the slate of bands for their SPAC performance will be Cheap Trick and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience.

Priced at $29.95-$99.95 for reserved amphitheater seats and $25 for lawn general admission, tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (January 13).

Will it be Foreigner with Mick Jones, or that tribute band without him?
The tribute band played Proctors last year.

This might be one of the shows where original members join the band for the show, including Lou Gramm. If that’s the case, I’m totally there. Not quite on the level of Steve Perry re-joining Journey for a song or two, but it’s pretty big doings if you’re as into corporate rock as much as I am.

Lou Gramm just posted on Twitter recently that he has not been invited at all.

They tend to put Mick Jones in the advertisements (like they did for Proctors) and he doesn’t show up either. Pure fraud.

I’m with you, Mr. Toast. The latest is that Gramm and others might join in “for a song or two” at some concert dates that are yet to be named. I’ll hold off on buying tickets.
