Tanglewood Announces New Concerts

Concerts by Natalie Merchant and the Avett Brothers have been added to the popular artist concert series at Tanglewood’s Koussevitzky Music Shed in Lenox this summer.

Merchant – who began her career with alternative rock band 10,000 Maniacs in 1981 before launching her solo career – has released seven solo albums, including the recent Paradise Is There: The New Tigerlily Recordings, which came out in 2015. She will perform at Tanglewood at 7pm on Sunday, July 2 with tickets priced from $16.50-$109.

Americana favorites the Avett Brothers released their ninth studio album, True Sadness, in the summer of 2016. The album topped the Billboard charts and landed the band a pair of Grammy nominations. The band will take the Tanglewood stage at 7pm on Friday, September 1 with tickets priced from $16-$89.

Tickets for both shows are slated to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Sunday (January 29).
