FEST: National College Comedy Festival @ Skidmore College

Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs is hosting the 28th annual National College Comedy Festival this weekend on Friday & Saturday (February 10 & 11).

The two-day fest will feature performances by top-name professional stand-up comedians as well as a wide variety of collegiate comedy ensembles from throughout the northeast.

Performances will take place on campus in the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater. In addition to tickets to the individual events ($14 & $20), weekend passes good for all four performances are available for $40.

Aparna Nancherla
With Troy Walker
Aparna Nancherla is a comedian of the stand-up variety, but can often be seen sitting. She recently worked as a writer and performer for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on NBC-TV. You can also catch her on the current season of “Inside Amy Schumer” on Comedy Central and on the upcoming season of Judd Apatow’s “Love” on Netflix.

The Improvised Shakespeare Company
With Nick & Gabe
Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written), the Improvised Shakespeare Company creates a fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece right before your eyes. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed or written. All of the dialogue is said for the first time, the
characters are created as you watch, and if ever you’re wondering where the story is going…well, so are they! You’ve never seen the Bard like this before.
