New Concert Announced for the Palace Theatre

The Egg has announced that it will be presenting Bela Fleck & the Flecktones and the Chick Corea Elektric Band in concert at Albany’s Palace Theatre at 7:30pm on Saturday, August 5.

Two of the most adventurous spirits and creative musicians of the day – banjoist Bela Fleck and pianist Chick Corea – with over 30 Grammy awards between them, will reunite the members of their respective bands for a double bill of improvisational music.

Bela Fleck & the Flecktones – with their signature fusion of jazz, bluegrass, funk, rock and classical music feature bassist Victor Wooten, keyboardist-harmonicat Howard Levy and electronic percussionist Roy “Futureman” Wooten, in addition to Fleck.

Jazz fusion pioneer Corea will be joined by drummer Dave Weckl, bassist John Patitucci, saxman Eric Marienthal and guitarist Frank Gambale.

Tickets are $59, $69 & $79 and are currently available exclusively to members of The Egg. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday, March 24.
