FILM: “Tickling Giants” @ Landmark Spectrum 8 Theatres, Albany. One-night-only screening of the 2016 documentary is the story of Bassem Youssef, a cardiologist turned comedian, the Jon Stewart of Egypt, and his show “The Show,” which united the country while testing the limits of free press. 7pm. $15.

MUSIC: David Lindley @ the Iron Horse Music Hall, Northampton. After failing to show up to his scheduled concert at The Egg last Friday, let’s hope that Mr. Lindley can find his way to the Iron Horse tonight. 7pm. $25.

THEATER: “An Iliad” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic tale fuses words and music in a spare, modern production starring David Barlow. 7:30pm. Through Sunday, April 2.

PERFORMANCE/READING: Nitty Gritty Poetry Slam @ the Low Beat, Albany. 7pm sign-up; 7:30 open mic; 8pm slam. $3 before 7:30pm; $5 thereafter.
