LIVE: Joey Alexander @ the Woodstock Playhouse, 4/21/17

13-year-old jazz piano wunderkind Joey Alexander made his second appearance at the Woodstock Playhouse last month. He was accompanied by veterans Alex Claffy on bass and Willlie Jones III on drums.

The concert focused primarily on selections from Alexander’s sophomore album, Countdown, including the Grammy-nominated title track.

The performance was part of the Jazzstock concert series, which continues at 7:30pm tonight (Thursday, May 18) at Senate Garage in Kingston with with the Chuck Lamb Acoustic Fusion – featuring Evan DuChene (drums), Matt Vacanti (bass) and Jeff Nania (sax), in addition to keyboardist Lamb – celebrating the release of Lamb’s new album North by Northeast. Tickets are $15.
