Alive @ Five’s Opening Concert Has Been Announced
One seriously funky dance party is coming to town on Thursday, June 8, when the City of Albany kicks off its free Alive @ Five concert series.
Headlining the inaugural concert in the series at Jennings Landing in Albany’s Corning Preserve will be jam-band fave Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe.
Denson, who took over the sax slot with the Rolling Stones following the death of Bobby Keyes, is fresh off a tour with the legendary rock band that included Desert Trip, the highest grossing concert festival of all time. Denson & Tiny Universe will also be opening for Phil Lesh & Friends at the Capitol Theatre this weekend.
Opening the free Alive @ Five show at 5pm (naturally) will be Saratoga Springs favorites Let’s Be Leonard.
The rest of the Alive @ Five schedule will be announced soon…
