Another edition of Joe Barna’s Sketches of Influence played at the Van Dyck in Schenectady late last month.

Centered around ace alto & soprano saxophonist Jon Gordon, the line-up also featured guitarist Mark Kleinhaut, pianist Dave Solazzo, bassist Ryan Berg and, of course, drummer Joe Barna.

The band played two sets of Barna’s original compositions, including the debut of several new pieces.
