MUSIC: Arturo O’Farrill Quintet @ Maverick Concerts, Woodstock. The Jazz at the Maverick concert series kicks off with a family affair – the five-time Grammy Award-winning pianist is joined by his sons, drummer Zack and trumpeter Adam (who led his own band at Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival last weekend), as well as bassist Bambam Rodriquez and saxophonist Livio Almeida. 8pm. $30 & $55; $5 students.

THEATER: “Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat” @ Wood Theater, Glens Falls. Last chance! An electronic pop musical by Nikko Benson & Benjamin Halstead. Directed by Marshall Pailet, the Adirondack Theatre Festival’s season-opening production turns up the volume on one of history’s most influential and controversial innovators, Nikola Tesla. 1pm & 7:30pm. $34-$45.
