Colonial Theatre Announces New Concerts

The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield has added a batch of new shows to its upcoming concert calendar.

Here are the details of the half dozen new concerts coming to the Colonial Theatre:

LIVE FROM LAUREL CANYON: SONGS & STORIES OF AMERICAN FOLK ROCK

A tribute show that pays homage to the musical legacy of Laurel Canyon and the birth of the singer-songwriter era featuring the music of The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Carole King, James Taylor, the Mamas & the Papas, Joni Mitchell and more.

THE DIZZY GILLESPIE AFRO-CUBAN EXPERIENCE

The Pittsfield CityJAZZ Festival presents an all-star jazz concert – led by Dizzy Gillespie’s long-term bassist, John Lee – showcasing the unique rhythms and well-loved melodies of Gillespie’s Afro-Cuban fusion as well as the broader repertoire of Latin-American music.
